Fall Inspired Warm Apple Crumble
Fall season is right around the corner, and that means it is time to cook up some delicious treats and savoury dishes. In this recipe, we make a Fall-inspired warm apple crumble, a perfect time to share this treat for gatherings with family and friends. To grab the perfect oats for this recipe, we used the Quaker brand.
Ingredients:
- Quaker steel cut oats
- Brown sugar
- Butter
- Cinnamon
- Granulated sugar
- Granny Smith apples
Instructions:
- First step is heat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit
- Line your large glass pan with butter (prevents any burning and enhances caramelization)
- Next, get your fresh Granny Smith apples, wash, and cut in slices (feel free to leave the skin on, whichever you prefer)
- Put your apple slices in a mixing bowl and lather with granulated sugar (about six tablespoons), along with cinnamon (about 4 tablespoons)
- In a separate mixing bowl, add in your oats (about four cups) and include six tablespoons of brown sugar
- Next, get a small microwavable bowl and melt four knobs of butter
- Add in your melted butter to the oats and sugar, mix well
- Next, line your pan with the Granny Smith apples
- Add your oats mixture on top of the apples (apply a generous layer)
- Place in the oven for roughly 30 minutes (until apples are cooked and oats are golden brown)
- Enjoy!
Fall season is great for preparing sweet desserts and treats for the whole family.
