Hearty Oven Baked Sausage and Potatoes
Everyone (hopefully) loves a yummy, quick recipe that involves one pan or pot making dinner simple, efficient, and the end result delicious. This recipe is hearty and homey. A mix of meat, potatoes, vegetables, and seasoning. A perfect meal for the family or if you want to share leftovers for the next day.
Ingredients:
- Barese sausages (feel free to use any sausage you desire)
- Yukon gold potatoes
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive oil
- Dried basil leaves
- Dried oregano
- Dried rosemary
- Sweet red peppers
- White onion
- White cooking wine
Instructions:
- Start by washing your Yukon gold potatoes under cold water
- After washing, dice your Yukon gold potatoes into quarters and place in a large baking dish
- Remember to set your oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for this dish
- Grab your Barese sausages and slice finger length pieces and place in the baking dish
- Wash your sweet red peppers and slice in long strips and place in the baking dish
- Grab a large white onion, dice, and place in the baking dish
- Top your potatoes, sausages, and sweet red peppers with your seasoning (salt, pepper, dried basil leaves, dried oregano, dried rosemary)
- Drizzle olive oil and a splash of white cooking wine on the mixture
- Bake in the oven for approximately an hour and a half
- Remember to remove from the oven every 30 minutes or so to mix
- If the dish becomes too dry, feel free to top with more olive oil and/or white cooking wine
- Enjoy!
