This basil pesto gnocchi recipe is very simple and can be cooked in as little as 20 minutes. Who doesn't love cooking a meal that takes so little time? We brought together a dense pasta in gnocchi and paired with a pesto sauce to create a lighter dish.
Ingredients:
- Gnocchi (we used pre-packaged from the local grocery store)
- Basil pesto sauce (we used pre-jarred from the local grocery store)
- Parmesan cheese
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive oil
Instructions:
- Get a large deep pot to boil your gnocchi in
- Boil your water in the pot on high heat
- Drizzle a few splashes of olive oil in the water along with a sprinkle of salt
- Boil your gnocchi until they rise to the top of the water (sign they are cooked)
- Get a medium sized pan hot on high heat and drizzle olive oil into the pan
- Transfer the gnocchi to the hot pan to get a nice golden brown on them
- Sprinkle your parmesan cheese onto the gnocchi while they are still in the pan
- Layer the gnocchi with the basil pesto and mix well
