Light and Quick Mediterranean Inspired Hummus
This recipe is perfect for snacking as a dip for your nacho chips or even as a spread with your main dish. Hummus, the perfect blend of chickpeas and other incredible flavours. Enjoy with a cracker, or with your homemade shawarma meal (recipe soon to come). We encourage you to try this, because you will not stop making it!
Ingredients:
- Chickpeas
- Salt
- Pepper
- Olive oil
- Fresh garlic
- Cumin
- Fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
- First, make sure to give your chickpeas a good rinse. Then in a food processor, dump your chickpeas in.
- Next, drizzle a generous amount of olive oil, followed by pinches of salt and pepper
- Top it off with cumin powder, which is the secret ingredient here (just a pinch)
- Fresh garlic cloves go in next, about 3-4, depending on how much garlic you like
- Get one lemon, and squeeze the juices into the food processor
- Blend until a thick smooth consistency
- Place in a small bowl and top it with olive oil and a pinch of salt for extra flavour
- Enjoy!
You can also include tahini in the recipe, which would enhance the dish to another level. Hummus is so tasty and healthy at the same time. Enjoy!
