Fresh Green Beans Side Dish

 

Green vegetables, a side dish that everyone loves right? You can always spruce up your veggies, even if it is as simple as using very minimal amount of ingredients. This fresh green beans side dish recipe goes well with literally everything, even on its own as a snack.

Ingredients:
  • Fresh green beans
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil
Instructions:
  1. Grab a medium size pot, and boil water
  2. While you wait for your water to boil, be sure to wash your fresh green beans
  3. Drop your green beans into the water and keep to a rolling boil
  4. Cook the green beans until tender, not soft
  5. Grab a deep bowl and fill with cold water and ice
  6. Take your cooked green beans out of the boiling water, and drop into the ice water bath
  7. Ensure to keep the beans in the ice water bath for about 2-3 minutes (this keeps your beans tender and tasty)
  8. Place your green beans on a plate and drizzle with olive oil, and top with salt and pepper
  9. Enjoy!
